I have been a Consultant in Metabolic Medicine & Clinical Biochemistry since 2014, specialising in cardiometabolic medicine, lipid disorders, diabetes, inherited metabolic diseases, electrolyte imbalance and the assessment of blood tests. My practice involves patient consultations, interpretation of laboratory results and mentoring doctors and medical students. My clinical work has been extensively recognised, for which I have received NHS Clinical Excellence Awards.
I have interests in other metabolic conditions such as inherited metabolic diseases, insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, health screening, unexplained fatigue, body malodour, fish odour syndrome, renal stone disease, heavy metal poisoning, metabolic optimisation and metabolic profiles.
I am an NHS consultant at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust, where I am a Clinical Director for Laboratory Medicine. I accept local and international private patients for face to face appointments/remote consultations at Spire Bristol Hospital, 25 Harley Street London, and Nuffield Health Bristol Hospital.

I specialise in Metabolic Medicine which includes cardiometabolic medicine, hypercholesterolaemia, prediabetes, metabolic syndrome, unexplained symptoms, disorders of carbohydrate and fat metabolism, insulin resistance, investigation of metabolic conditions, metabolic effects of medications such as antidepressants and antipsychotics, renal stone disease, heavy metal poisoning, vitamin and mineral replacement and metabolic optimisation.
I see patients for metabolic profiles, treatment of rare conditions such as fish odour syndrome (trimethylaminuria) and metabolic effects of extreme diets.
I work closely with other named colleagues like cardiologists, rheumatologists, hepatologists, dieticians and specialist nurses to provide a holistic and comprehensive care to my patients.
